Led by Dr. Robert J. Priest (TEDS) in partnership with Dr. Tito Paredes and Facultad Evangélica Orlando E. Costas (Lima, Peru), this conference focused on the topic of short-term mission and its impact on hosting countries. The conference included over 170 pastors, scholars, teachers, church leaders, community members, as well as TEDS students and administrators. May 29-31, 2008 | Conference in Hong Kong, China
Led by Dr. David Pao (TEDS) and Dr. Rick Cook (TEDS) in partnership with Evangel Seminary (Hong Kong, China) and China Evangelical Seminary (Taipei, Taiwan), this conference drew hundreds of students, pastors, and laypeople for cutting-edge discussion on the relationship between the Bible and evangelical identity in global settings. Scholars came from TEDS, Evangel, Alliance Bible Seminary, China Graduate School of Theology, Christar (India), and Beeson Divinity School, among others. August 13-15, 2008 | Conference in Nairobi, Kenya Partnership in Theological Education in Africa 2010 | Conference in Tokyo, Japan
Led by Dr. Harold Netland (TEDS) and Dr. Takanori Kobayashi (Tokyo Christian University), the Center will conduct a working conference on Christology and religious pluralism. Ten scholars from Japan, Korea, Great Britain, Australia and the United States will present original papers on pain and suffering, victory and hope as they relate to the person of Christ in a globalized and pluralized world. |
